Answer:

When an ice cube is placed in a glass of water, it displaces enough water to support its weight. Weight of an ice cube = mass / density of water. After the ice cube melts completely the water level remains the same as the water displaced is now fulfilled by the amount of water present in the ice cube.

hi dear

your answer is

Heat always flows from high temperature to cold temperature. So it flows from your hand to the ice cube. Heat is the thermal energy in a medium. Simply, hot atoms/molecules vibrate more than cold ones. So a hot vibrating atom hits a cold one and makes the cold one vibrate more. Heat goes from hot to cold because you can't increase the energy of something without adding energy. The energy comes from the hot side.
