Let us assume that, Efficiency of a man is x unit / day.
Than,
→ Efficiency of a woman = 2 * x = 2x unit / day.
So,
→ 4 men completes = 4 * x = 4x unit of work / day.
and,
→ 2 women completes = 2 * 2x = 4x unit of work / day.
than,
→ 1 one day total unit of work completes by 4 men and 2 women is = 4x + 4x = 8x units. = Total work .
Therefore,
→ Time taken by a woman working alone to do the complete work = (Total work)/(Efficiency of a woman) = 8x/2x = 4 days. (Ans.)
Hence, a women worming alone can do the work in 4 days.
