If A + B = 1 and A - B = 2/3 , then the fractions A and B are :

add (1)&(2)

2A=1+2/3

2A=3+2/3

6A=5

A=5/6

substituting

Value in (1)

5/6+B=1

B=1-5/6

B=1/6
