Four particles of masses 2 kg, 3 kg.
2 kg and 4 kg are at the corners of a
square of diagonal 4 m, as shown.
The net gravitational force on a
particle of mass 1 kg at the centre of

Answer:

Net force on the particle at the center is 16.67 pN

Explanation:

As we know that gravitational force is an attraction force between two point masses and given by the formula

F = \frac{Gm_1m_2}{r^2}

now we know that each 2 kg mass placed at diagonally opposite side

So net force due to both the masses would be ZERO

now the net force at the center is only due to 3 kg mass and 4 kg mass

so we will have

F = \frac{G(4 kg)(1 kg)}{2^2} - \frac{G(3 kg)(1 kg)}{2^2}

so we have

F = \frac{G}{4} = 16.67 pN
