Four pencils, three pens and five erasers are given to 5 boys and 7 girls such that 1. no girl gets a pen. 2. at least one of the boys should get an eraser and at least one boy should get a pencil. 3. each person gets one item. at least one boy gets an pencil = 1C1

rest of pencil goes to girls = 3C3

= [(5×4)/2][2×{(7×6×5)/6}][1]

= 700 ways.
