• Amount Andzie received more than Salifu = ?

Solution:

$\\ \\ Awuni \: received \: \: \dfrac{1}{4} \: of \: \: 1800 \\ \\ = \dfrac{1}{4} \times 1800 \\ \\ = 450$

Awuni received Rs 450

Amount left after giving Awuni = Total amount - Awuni received

= 1800 - 450

= 1350

Amount left = Rs 1350

Remaining amount was shared between Andzie, Salifu and safiatu

Let amount shared between

Andzie = 7x

Salifu = 5x

Safiatu = 8x

7x + 5x + 8x = 1350

20x = 1350

$\\ \\ x \: = \dfrac{1350}{20} \\ \\ x = 67.5$

Substituting value of x = 67.5 in

Andzie = 7x = 7 × 67.5 = 472.5

Salifu = 5x = 5 × 67.5 = 337.5

Safiatu = 8x = 8 × 67.5 = 540

So, Salifu received = 5x = Rs 337.5

Andzie received more than Salifu = Andzie amount - Salifu amount

= 472.5 - 337.5

= 135
