\large\tt Given \begin{cases} \sf{Length \: (l) \: = \: 3 \: m}  \\  \sf{Breadth \: (b) \: = \: 2.1 \: m} \\  \sf{Number \: of \: wood \: plans \: = \: 4} \\  \sf{Cost \: of \: Painting \: = \: Rs \: 5.50 /m^2} \end{cases}

To Find :

Cost of painting all the four plans

_____________________________

Solution :

We have formula for area of rectangle :

\Large{\underline{\boxed{\sf{Area \: = \: l \: \times \: b}}}}

Put Values

⇒Area = 3 * 2.1

⇒Area = 6.3

Area of one wood plan = 6.3 m²

______________________________

As we know there are 4 wood plans

So,

Area of 4 wood Plans = Area of 1 wood plan * 4

⇒Area of 4 wood plans = 6.3 * 4

⇒Area of 4 wood plans = 25.2

∴ Area of 4 wood plans is 25.2 m²

___________________________

And Cost of Painting 4 wood plans = Area of 4 wood plans * 5.50

⇒Cost = 25.2 * 5.50

⇒Cost = 138.6

∴ Painting 4 wood plans will cost Rs 138.6

Question :Four plans of wood each length 3 metre and breadth 2.1 metre are to be painted on both sides determine the cost of painting at the rate of 5.50 per square metre.

Solution :

\bold {Given:}

  • Length of 1 plan of wood = 3 m
  • Breadth of 1 plan of wood = 2.1 m
  • Cost of painting per square metre = Rs 5.50

\bold{To\:Find}

  • Cost of painting four plans of wood.

When we have to find cost of painting per square unit means we will have to find area.

\boxed{\blue{Area= length\times breadth}}

Area= length\times breadth \\  Area = 3 \: m \times 2.1 \: m \\ Area = 6.3 \:  {m}^{2}

Cost of painting per square metre = Rs 5.50

Cost\: of \:painting \:6.3 \:m^2 = Rs\:(5.50\times 6.3)=Rs\:34.65

Cost of painting 1 plan of wood = Rs 34.65

Cost of painting 4 plans of wood=Rs (34.65×4) =Rs 138.6

\fbox{\green {Cost\: of\: painting \:4 \: plans\: of\: wood= Rs\: 138.6}}
