Four reasons why cleanliness uncleanness of surrounding are important for good health
Answers
Do you want an infestation of pests? - Roaches, silverfish, mice and eventually rats all love filthy places to eat and to thrive. If you provide them with that place, they will come. The worst part, however, might be the flies as their maggots get everywhere and make an unpleasant sound when they are eating and moving.
Do you want the pests to damage your home? - Mice and rats can devastate your home in a matter of weeks. They can destroy wallboard, gnaw through water pipes and even start fires by chewing through insulation. You won’t have to worry about cleaning if you don’t have a house.
Do you want to grow ill? - It won’t take long before an unclean home causes you medical problems. You’ll need to go the doctor (or worse, the hospital) and you’ll have your housekeeping decisions to thank for that time and those expenses.
Do you want a social agency coming by and asking why you are allowing your children to remain in such squalor? - This won’t just be humiliating…it may cause you to be placed under some type of monitoring or even arrested. Try explaining that one at your job. That is…if they don’t fire you.
Do you want a a concerned (or worse and opportunistic) relative to have you declared to mentally unsound? - It’s really not that difficult to do so, especially if they demonstrate that you are living in filth or making your children do the same. You could find yourself and your assets under a conservatorship and that you can no longer make decisions for yourself or your finances. You’ll then have to prove that you are stable and that you can take care of yourself. By the time that occurs, your assets could be squandered and you could be homeless.
While the above are, of course, extremes, in reality it doesn’t take much for a cleaning situation to evolve into a life-changing one. You could find yourself in a ruined home, in trouble with the authorities and even homeless in a matter of months.
Why bother with that when you don’t have to?
