Four rectangular strips of paper of length 10 cm
and width 1 cm are placed flat on a table overlapping
as shown. How much area of the table is covered?
Also find the perimeter of the figure so formed.​

Given that :-

length $=10cm$

breadth$= 1cm$

As we have to find the area and its perimeter,

We know that,

Area of rectangle $=l*b$

⇒ $10 *1$

⇒ $10 cm$

Now, perimeter of rectangles $=2[l+b]$

⇒ $2[10+1]$

⇒ $22cm$

Thus, area of rectangle is $10cm$and its perimeter is $22cm$.
