Four resistors of resistance 0.5, 1.5, 4, 6 ohms are connected in series to a 6v battery. What i is the potential difference

The potential difference is already given as 6V

But if u meant what is the current , here is the answer,

First, we have to find the equivalent resistance across the conductor,

Since it is connected in series, equivalent resistance is equal to

Rs =  R1 + R2 + R3 + R4 .....

equivalent resistance = 0.5 + 1.5 + 4 + 6

                                    =  12 ohm

Also,

Potential difference (V) = 6 V

Resistance (R) = 12 ohm

Current (I)  = V/I

                  = 6/12

                  = 1/2

                  = 0.5 A

Hence , the current is 0.5 A
