Answer:

Area of land = 7 × 5 = 35 m²

Area of each flower bed = 1 × 1 m²

Area of 4 flower bed = 4 × 1 = 4 m²

To find :-

Area of remaining part

Solution :-

Area of remaining part = Area if land - Area of flower bed

                                       = 35 - 4

                                       = 31 m²

Area of remaining part = 31 m²

Answer:

31m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of 1 square flower garden = side × side

Area = 1m × 1m

Area = 1m²

Area of 4 square gardens = 1m² ×  4

Area = 4m²

Area of the piece of land = length ×breadth

Area = 7m × 5m

Area of the piece of the land = 35m²

Area of the remaining piece of land = Area of the piece of land - Area of 4 square flower beds.

Area of the remaining piece of land = 35m² - 4m²

Area = 31m²

Therefore the area of the remaining piece of land is 31m²
