Four times one number minus the second number is –10. Three times the first number add the second number is –11. Find the numbers

let first number is x

2nd number is y

now, According to question

4x - y = -10 -> (1)

3x + y = -11. -> (2)

now adding both the equation, we get

7x = -21

x = -21/7 = - 3

put this value in equation 2 we get

3(-3) + y= -11

y= 9 - 11

y= - 2

hence both numbers are -3 & -2
