Let the number be x

We have Given ,

Four fifths of number is 10 more than two thirds of the number

Express the simpler word algebraically

Four  Fifths of a number is 10 = 4/5 * x = 10

Two third of a number = 2/3 * x

According to the question

⇒ 4/5x = 10 + 2/3x

⇒ 4/5 x - 2/3 x = 10

⇒ 2x/15 = 10

⇒ 2x = 15 * 10

⇒ 2x = 150

⇒ x = 150/2

⇒ x = 75
