Ration of A:B:C:D is 30:40:35:50

Here, B's share is 40 of 155 (30+40+35+50)

So B's share in amount is

13175 \times  \frac{40 }{155}

that is ₹3400

share of B is Rs 3400

Given:

Four workers were supposed to set up tents for an exhibition.

A sets up 30 tents

B sets up 40 tents

C sets up 35 tents

D sets up 50 tents

Total amount paid for their work is Rs. 13, 175.

To Find:

Share of B

Solution:

Assume that amount paid for Each tent is Rs  x

Share of A = 30x  Rs

Share of B = 40x  Rs

Share of C = 35x  Rs

Share of D = 50 x  Rs

Total Amount paid = 30x + 40x + 35x + 50x  = 155x  Rs

Total Amount paid = 13175  Rs

155x = 13175

=> x = 85

Share of B = 40x   = 40(85)   = 3400  Rs

share of B is Rs 3400
