Four year ago arka was twice as old as sania. and now sania will be 3/4 of arka age.how old arka now

Let the age of Arka be x
and sania be y

Before four years ,

Arka' s age :- x - 4
Sania's age :- y - 4

x - 4 = 2 ( y - 4 )

x - 4 = 2y - 8

x - 2y - 4 + 8 = 0

x - 2y + 4 = 0 .... ( i )



Now ,

y = 3/4 × x

y = 3x /4 .... ( ii )


Putting value of y from ( ii ) in ( i )

x - 2y + 4 = 0

x - 2 × 3x/4 + 4 = 0

x - 3x /2 + 4 = 0

( 2x - 3x + 8 ) /2 = 0

- x + 8 = 0

x = 8


Putting in ( ii )

y = 3 × 8 /4

y = 6


Arka' s age is 8 years
and Sania's age is 6 years.
