Present age of Mr Sharma is 46 years

Present age of his daughter is 18 years.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of Mr Sharma be x years

and the present age of his daughter be y years.

  • First condition states that four Years Ago Mr Sharma Age was 3 times than the age of his daughter, that means;

                                x-4 = 3(y-4)

                                x-4 = 3y-12

                                x-3y =-12+4

                                x-3y =-8       ---------------- [Equation 1]

  • Second condition states that presently the difference of their ages is 28, that means;

                                 x-y = 28

                                 x=28+y --------------- {Equation 2]

Now, putting value of x from equation 2 into equation 1 we get;

                                28+y-3y =-8

                                28-2y =-8

                                  2y=28+8

                                  2y=36

                                   y=\frac{36}{2}=18

Putting value of y in equation 2 we get; x = 28 + 18 = 46 years

Therefore, Present age of Mr Sharma is x = 46 years and Present age of his daughter is y = 18 years.
