Present age of father is = x

Son = y

➡For Father

➡(x - 4) = 4(y - 4) \\ ➡x - 4 = 4y - 16 \\ ➡x = 4y - 16 + 4 \\ ➡x = 4y - 12 \\➡ x = 4 \times 13 - 12 \\ ➡ = 52 - 12 \\ ➡x = 40 \: ans

➡For Son

➡x + y = 53 \\ ➡4y - 12 - y = 53 \\ ➡5y = 53 - 12 \\ ➡5y = 65 \\ ➡y = 13 \: ans

So, father present age is 40 and son present age is 13

Hope this helps please follow

Answer:

➡(x−4)=4(y−4)

➡x−4=4y−16

➡x=4y−16+4

➡x=4y−12

➡x=4×13−12

➡=52−12

➡x=40ans

➡x+y=53

➡4y−12−y=53

➡5y=53−12

➡5y=65

➡y=13ans

So, father present is 40

and children's is 13
