So, age of Sam's son four years ago = n/2

Today Sam's son age = 30 .

Sam's age =

$\frac{n}{2}+4 = 30$

$\frac{n}{2} = 30 -4$

n = 26×2

n= 52

Therefore the age of Sam is 52 years.
