Let us assume
Son's present age is"x" years.
Father's present age is"y" years.
Before 4 years,
Son's age = (x-4) years
Father's age=(y-4) years
According to question,
(y-4)=3 X (x-4)--------(1)
After 4 years,
Father's age=(y+4) years
Son's age=(x+4) years
According to question,
(x+4) + (y+4) =64-------(2)
On solving(1) and (2), we get
Son's present age is"x" years.
Father's present age is"y" years.
