Four years ago the ratio of age of suresh to deena is 5:3.The ratio of their present age is 11:7. What will deena's age 3 year hence

Let the ages of Suresh and Deena four years ago be 5x and 3xyears

respectively...

 \frac{5x + 4}{3x + 4}  =  \frac{11}{7}

35x+28  = 33x + 44

⇒35x - 33x=44-28

⇒ 2x = 16  = 8

Deena's age 3 years hence = 3x + 7

= 3 \times 8+7= 31 years
