FPGAs are power efficient when compared to GPU.

FPGAs are basically hardware implemented therefore hardware  is faster than software.

GPUs are historical and they are basically power hogs which is  problematic.

The full form of fpga field programmable gate arrays.

Gpu has the great backward capability. Gpu uses fast memory when it is designed.

However, it solely depends on the application and how it is used.

However, FPGAs are power efficient when compared to GPU but in its own way when used rightly GPU can also perform well.

Besides, FGPAs perform ten times better in power consumption according to a research conducted by Microsoft.

This is not the case with GPU, they are power hungry.
