It is given that ,

3 1/3 + 2½ × 7¼

= 10/3 + ( 5/2 × 29/4 )

= 10/3 + 145/8

= ( 10 × 8 )/( 3 × 8 ) + ( 145 × 3)/(8 × 3 )

= 80/24 + 435/24

= ( 80 + 435 )/24

= 515/24
