Frame the equation and solve:

The length of the rectangle is twice its breadth. If the perimeter is 18cm. Find its length and breadth.

2(2x+x)=18
6x=18
x=3
length=6
breadth=3

◾Let the Breadth of the Rectangle be 'x' cm

◾Then the length of the Rectangle => 2x cm


↪According to the given question,

=> 2 × ( L + B ) = 18

=> 2 × ( x + 2x ) = 18

=> ( 3x ) = 9

= x = 3


◾Length of Rectangle => 6 cm

◾Breadth of Rectangle => 3cm
