<b>Heya mate ^_^. Solution below.
====================================

<u>Question -</u> Frederick; after spending 20% of his monthly salary in buying electronic goods, 10% of the salary on repair work of furniture, and 30% of the salary investing it in fixed deposit; is left with Rs. 18693. How much is Frederick's monthly salary?

<u>Solution - </u>

Let the monthly salary of Fredrick be 'x'.

Then, money spent on buying electronics
= 20% of total salary
= 20% of x
= 20/100 × x
= 20x/100

And, money spent on repair work of the furniture
= 10% of total salary
= 10% of x
= 10/100 × x
= 10x/100

And, money invested in fixed deposits
= 30% of total salary
= 30% of x
= 30/100 × x
= 30x/100

Also, he has 18963 Rs. left with him.
=====================

Now, Total salary = total money spent + money left.

=> x = (20x/100) + (10x/100) + (30x/100) + 18963

=> x = (20x + 10x + 30x)/100 + 18963

=> x = 60x/100 + 18963

=> x - 60x/100 = 18963

=> (100x-60x)/100 = 18963

=> 40x/100 = 18693

=> x = 18963 × 100/40

=> x = 1896300/40

=> x = 47,407.5

Hence, the monthly salary of Fredrick = x = 47407.5

Thank you.. ^_^ :)
