Glycolysis is the conversion of glucose, a six carbon atom compound into pyruvate, a ketonic carboxylic acid.

While Kreb's cycle is the breaking of pyruvate in presence of oxygen into carbon dioxide, water and 38 ATP.

The differences are glycolysis takes place in cytoplasm while kreb's cycle in mitochondria.
The former may or may not require oxygen while the latter needs oxygen.

Answer:

Glycolysis is also known as EMP

(Embden-Meyerhof-Parnas Pathway or Cytoplasmic pathway) starts with the breakdown of glucose into pyruvate; Krebs cycle is also known as TCA (tricarboxylic acid) cycle. ... In Glycolysis 2 ATP molecules are consumed for the phosphorylation while Kreb cycle there is no consumption of ATP.

Explanation:

Difference between glycolysis and Krebs cycle:-

The main difference between glycolysis and Krebs cycle is: Glycolysis is the first step involved in the process of respiration and occurs in the cytoplasm of the cell. ... On the other hand, Kreb cycle or citric acid cycle involves the oxidation of acetyl CoA into CO2 and H2O.
