Given :

Spring constant of the bungee cord = 82.5 N/m

Time period of the oscillation = 7.50 s

To Find :

What is the mass of the person ?

Solution :

We know that the angular frequency of oscillation is given as :

\omega = \sqrt{\frac{K}{m}}

Here , K is spring  constant of bungee cord  and m is mass of the person .

Also we have :

\omega =  \frac{2\pi }{T}

  = 0.84

So,

0.84 = \sqrt{\frac{K}{m}}

Or, (0.84)^2 = {\frac{82.5}{m}}

Or, m = \frac{82.5}{(0.84)^2}

Or, m =116.92

Hence , the mass of the person is 116.92 kg .
