Free metallic spheres of radni 6 cm, 8 cm and 10 cm respectively are melted together to
in a single solid sphere. Find the radius of the resulting sphere.

V of sphere 1 = (4π × 6×6×6)/3 cu. cm

V of sphere 2 = (4π × 8×8×8)/3 cu. cm

V of sphere 3 = (4π × 10×10×10)/3 cu. cm

V of solid sphere = Sum of V of spheres

or, (4π× r×r)/3 = (4π (216+512+1000))/3

or, r×r = 1728

or, r = 12 cm

Hence, Radius of new sphere = 12 cm
