Being the citizen of India, there are certain rights and responsibilities which we have to perform. The country gives us the right to speak, travel, choose religion and to live the way we want. There are many rules and laws which protect us and give us freedom. We should respect these laws and follow them. There are certain responsibilities and duties which we too need to perform. As a citizen, we need to respect our country, the national flag, and the national anthem. We should also respect the country and its people.

Being a citizen of a country there are certain duties which I need to do. The first duty of me as a citizen to respect my country and its people. A citizen should always obey the laws and rules of the country and respect them. Paying taxes on time and also without any corruption is one of the way by which India can be made corruption free. Participating in the elections and electing the most efficient government is also a way to help India be free from corruption. Being a citizen of India it is my duty to help the country to walk in the path of progress.
