The man knows that power and money are short-lived temptations and they can never give us true happiness. He, like every other man, wanted inner happiness and freedom. Very few people realize that only innocence and a simple living can give us inner peace and happiness. They blindly run after power and stay with them only for some time. The man was wise and realized this truth of life. Hence, he was not tempted by money or power.
