As in democracy people have many freedoms such as the freedom of speech,freedom of association etc.If there is no freedom to the people in the country ,we cannot say that the country is democratic or can say there is no democracy in the particular country.eg saudi arabia has adopted democracy but as women do not have right to vote hence we can say that it's not a democratic country...
