Freedom of the press is the right to circulate opinions in print without censorship by the government or pressure from any individual or group. A free press ensures that only genuine information are communicated to the general public. Real news is circulated, but biased or politically motivated. Rights guaranteed under Article 12 to 35 contained in Part III of the Constitution. There are six fundamental rights in India. Right to Freedom provides the rights of freedom of speech and the freedom of expression. Therefore the freedom of the press is a fundamental right and one of the human rights.
