Freezing of water means liquid water converting into solid ice. Here only a change in physical state is seen and it is reversible and no new substance is formed hence it is physical change.
Even evaporation of water is physical change as it involves change of state and it is reversible change.

Freezing of water and evaporation of water are both physical changes as they both are reversible i.e, they can return to their own physical states .No new substance if formed and also there is no change of mass and no gain or loss of energy as a result of physical change.
