The process of adding heat to an object can cause a reaction, which is an endothermic reaction. Melting ice will turn to water, and then, eventually, steam.

Freezing of ice is all exotermic process because no heat is absorbed during the process of freezing. And it also releases heat to the surrounding during freezing. So the answer is EXOTERMIC REACTION.
