answer !!

The colour of FeSO4.7H2O ( hydrated ferrous sulphate ) crystals are green in colour.

These crystals are hydrated and the water molecules present in its molecule os physically attached. These water molecules get easily detached from the molecule on heating. Moreover these water molecules are the prime reason why these molecules can colour on heating and again regains its colour when water is added. This water is called the water of crystallisation. FeSO4 ( ferrous sulphate ) has 7 molecules of water of crystallisation.

So, when FeSO4 ( ferrous sulphate )crystals are heated, it loses its green colour and turns into a white amorphous solid.

Equation :-----

FeSO4.7H2O ----- (on heating) ∆ -----> FeSO4 + 7H2O
