Closeness of charge brings the frenkel defect compounds having such defect conducts electricity to small extent. When electric field is applied an ion moves from its lattice site to occupy hole and creates new hole. In this way it moves from one hole to other from one end to other nd thus it carry electricity across crystal nd increases dielectric constant
