Explanation:

The main reason for frequent power cuts is due to tripping of lines which are caused due to faults. We are getting electricity from a power plant generating in remote area via long transmission and distribution network. Tripping in any of this T&D lines will directly or indirectly effects us and results into power cuts.

Other reasons for power cuts may be due to tripping of generators which is called as load shedding, Overloading of lines and transformers etc.
