We know that an object floats in water when its density is lower than the density of water and vice- versa. In first case when egg is put in the beaker its density is more than density of water ,so it sank but in second case density of water increases because a lot salt is dissolved in it and become more than the density of egg.So the egg starts to float.

The ability of something, float in water or some other liquid is known as buoyancy.
The density of salt water is more than that of fresh water which results in more buoyancy.
The density of the egg is higher than the density of tap water, so it sinks.
When salt is added to the water, the saltwater solution's density becomes higher than the egg's, so the egg will then float.
