​Fresh milk has pH of 6.When it changes into curd,will its pH value decrease or increase?Why?

The pH scale is used to measure the acidity of a substance.


The pH of milk is 6 while that of curd is of the range 4.5 - 5.5.


The pH decreases as milk changes into curd.


This is because of the formation of lactic acid which as the name suggests is acidic in nature.

the pH of curd is low than milk
the pH of curd is near 4.5 to 5.5 while pH of milk is 6 to 6.5
the bacteria present in milk lactobacillus produce lactic acid in milk and make it curd that's why curd is more acidic
