Given

  • Force Applied = 500 N
  • Mass = 5 kg
  • μ = 0.2

To Find

  • Frictional force on the block

Solution

● Fₛ = μmg

Frictional Force :

→ Fₛ = μmg

  • Fₛ = Frictional Force = ?
  • μ = static Friction = 0.2
  • m = Mass = 5 kg
  • g = Gravitational Acceleration = 10 m/s²

→ Fₛ = 0.2 × 5 × 10

→ Fₛ = 2 × 5

→ Fₛ = 10 N

  • Here we may also observe that the frictional force is lesser than the force applied and hence the body would move in the direction of force

∴ Frictional force on the block is 10 N

Answer:

GivEn :-

  • Force = 500 N
  • μ = 0.2
  • Mass = 5 kg

To FinD :-

Force acting

SoluTion :-

As we know that

 \huge \bf {F}_s = μmg

Here,

Fs = Frictional force

μ = Static friction

M = Mass

G = Gravitation Acceleration

 \sf \: {F}_s \:  = 0.2 \times 5 \times 10

 \sf \: F_s = 1 \times 10

 \sf F_s = 10 \: N
