Friction helps us in walking and running. when we walk, there is friction between our foot ( or the sole of our shoe ) and the ground. This prevents you from slipping . on the other hand, If you try to walk on a wet floor on a wet floor , you tend to slip because the water reduces the friction between your foot

friction is necessary evil because with out friction we can't able to do anything or any work.if there no friction we can't stop the moving car etc.a body which is in motion will continue in the same motion without that force.
ex.can't able to walk.
a moving body will not stop
