friction is useful as well as harmful. we can’t think of a world without friction. we walk, run , and do everything using friction. The friction between our feet and the floor helps us to walk. In slippery places ,friction is increased artificially to minimize the accidents. friction can be minimized and maximized artificially. In carom boards, powder is used to smoothen the board surface( minimizing friction). and in machines, machine parts wear away because of the friction.
