Answer:

1. liquids take the shape of container they are poured into because they have a particular volume but no particular shape for which they occupy the total space in which they are poured

2. in solids the intermolecular force of attraction is the most among all the states of matter which leads to tight packing of the adjacent particles in a solid

3. in gases the intermolecular force of attraction is least for which gaseous particles move freely throughout the medium in which they are present and as a result they are highly compressible. the intermolecular distance is the most in them among all the states of matter.

4. volume is directly proportional to temperature for which volume of the balloon in higher temperature is more than the volume of balloon at lower temperature

Explanation:

1. Liquids take the shape of the container they are poured in because the particles are not as tightly packed as in solids.

2. Solids have definite shape and definite volume because the molecules in solid are closely packed and in fixed positions. The molecules can vibrate but do not move around which keeps the shape and volume definite.

3.Gases are compressible because most of the volume of a gas is composed of the large amounts of empty space between the gas particles. When a gas is compressed, as when the scuba tank is being filled, the gas particles are forced closer together. Compressed gases are used in many situations.

4. The volume of the balloon decreases by the low temperature, because the gas inside is cooled down. At room-temperature the helium balloon is lighter than air with the same volume of the air, which makes it go up. At low temperatures its volume is too small, so it is heavier than the same volume of air.

I hope it will help you friend
