When current flows through a conductor, heat energy is generated in the conductor.
The formula for Heat H = MST, where M is the mass in kg, S is the specific heat and T is the temperature in degree C. S depends on the property of the substance and is defined as the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of unit mass of the substance by 1 degree Censius.
