Answer:

Listen dear, here it is given u+v /2

u=0

v=5

0+5=5

5/2=2.5

I hope now you got it...

Here Is ur answer :)

I think u want to know : how the formula u+v/2 exist

It's very simple

How does average velocity come to be (u+v)/2?

Average velocity comes to be (u+v)/2, only when velocity is changing uniformly i.e. acceleration is constant or uniform. If velocity does not change uniformly, the average velocity will not be (u+v)/2.

This can be understood by another example. Suppose we have a sequence of numbers; 1,2,3,4,5. Obviously the middle or average value is 3 which is equal to (1+5)/2. Now let us consider another sequence, 1,2,4,7,11. Now the middle value is 4 but it is not equal to (1+11)/2. The reason is simple, in the first sequence the numbers were increasing by a constant rate; 1 at a time but in the second sequence the increase is not uniform (first 1, then 2, then 3 and so on).

So, if initial and final velocities are u and v respectively then average velocity will be (u+v)/2 only in the case of uniformly accelerated motion.

Given =》 Initial velocity (u) = 0m/s‐¹

Final velocity (v) = 5 m/s‐¹

Hope u got it :)
