Answer:

  1. Speed doesn't depend on direction but velocity does. Speed is a scalar quantity and velocity is a vector quantity.
  2. The avg speed is total distance by total time which is 35km/hr.
  3. the avg velocity is total displacement by total yime. The displacement is 7.5 km and time is 3s. so the avg velocity is 7.5/3 which is which is 2.5 km/hr.
  4. the avg speed is 180m in 6 secs which is 30m/s, the avg velocity is 60m in 6 sec (because direction is included) so the displacement is 10m/s.
  5. His avg velocity is 20-12m by 8 mins which is 8/8 which is 1m/s
  6. Thank you. Hope this helps.
