The ear is an important organ that helps is hearing and maintaining equilibrium or balance of our body. The tongue helps in speech, in tasting and chewing of food.

located in large, complex sensory organs-the eyes and

the ears. Those for smell and taste are located in organs

that function in other systems-the nose in the respiratory

system and the mouth in the digestive system.

Each one of them is really important in your everyday life.

You use at least one of your five senses every moment of

every day and they are on duty even when you are asleep!

Your senses work together to let your brain know what is

going on around you.

There are organs connected with these sense that take in

information that is sent to the brain so that the body can

act on it.
