2x+1=x-3 ​

To Find:

The value of x in 2x+1=x-3 ​

Solution:

2x+1=x-3 ​

2x - x = (-3) + (-1)

x = - 3 - 1

x = -4

Therefore value of x = -4

Check:

By substituting -4  in 2x+1=x-3 ​

2(-4)+1 = (-4)-3

-8 + 1 = -4 - 3

-7 = -7

L.H.S = R.H.S
