Hi ,

Here I am using ' A ' instead of theta.

LHS = ( 1 + secA -tanA )/(1+secA+tanA)

=[(sec² A-tan²A)+secA-tanA]/(1+secA+tamA)

=[(secA+tanA)(secA-tanA)+(secA-tanA)]/(1+secA+tanA)

= [(secA-tanA)(secA+tanA+1)]/(1+secA+tanA)

= secA - tanA----( 1 )

= 1/cosA - sinA/cosA

= ( 1 - sinA ) / cosA ----( 2 )

Hence proved.

I hope this helps you.
