Alivardi is a nawab of bengal, bihar and orissa. Originally known as mirza muhammad.his mother belong to the turki tribe of afsar settled in khurasan.his grandfather was a foster brother of aurangzeb. On his attaining adulthood,azam shah appointed him as yhe superindent of the filkhana;he was also givan charge of the zardozkhana.
