Hi !

Differences :-

Ammeter -> 1) Device to measure the amount of current flowing  in a circuit
                      2) Connected in series 
                      3 ) Has very low resistance

Voltmeter ->  1) Device to measure the potential difference
                    2) Connected in parallel
                    3) Has very high resistance
